Summer skiing in Cortina d'Ampezzo!
Ski slopes in Italian Cortina to re-open on July 4.

Thanks to abundant snowfall during winter 2008/09, Italian ski resort Cortina d'Ampezzo plans to re-open its ski slopes for summer skiing!

As of July 4, main cableway from Cortina to Tofana ski area and chairlift Busc de Tofana should be in operation, serving skiers wishing to try the summer snow between 2700 and 2500 m.

Queen of the Dolomites already witnessed to summer skiing on its hills, last time in 2001, during June.
