Like other manufacturers, in the year of economic recession Fischer has decided to cut down on expenses by not introducing revolutionary changes into their models. However, some refreshments exist.
The toughest commercial range RC4 has been modified only in color: what was white is now yellow, and vise versa. Speaking of graphics, the skis are very similar to last year's models. The greatest change is the "simulated hole", existing in WC RC, WC SC, Race RC and Race SC Pro models. Apart from the mentioned models, this range continues to include the RC4 Competition Pro model, which is the weakest, and lacks some characteristics of the race models.

The range with varying radii remains unchanged. Progressor 7+, Progressor 8+ and Progressor 9+ continue to make up the most versatile Fischer range for advanced recreational skiers. There have been only slight changes concerning graphics but the range retained its dominant white color.

The greatest novelty, however, is the completely new range called Viron. It belongs to the "Sport Performance class skis", intended for experienced recreational skiers looking for a ski that won't tire them and at the same time enable great skiing on groomed slopes. The Viron range comprises four models: Viron 2.2, Viron 4.4, Viron 6.6 and the toughest, Viron 8.8.

The Fuse range existed for only one season. Its main goal was to replace the popular and successful AMC range. However, this wasn't the case and Fischer failed to launch another allmountain range. The Heat range was thus a bit more modified in both appearance and geometry, which resulted in its becoming a real allmountain range. Their aggressive graphics and almost 88 mm waist could make the Heat range very popular with skiers. The models available are Heat 72, Heat 74 and Heat 76.

Fischer has always paid special attention to ladies' models, which are very popular with girl skiers because of their amazing graphics. Fischer continues to keep up with this successful trend: there are 4 ladies ski models called My style: Pure My Style, Exhale My Style, Breeze My Style and Vapor My Style. They have a waist of 70 do 76 mm, which guarantees stability on almost all types of terrain. These models will surely satisfy recreational girl skiers.

The ladies who are into free skiing and more snow adventures, can opt for a sibling range called Koa. It comprises somewhat wider models without pre-mounted plate: Koa 73 My Style, Koa 75 My Style, Koa 78 My Style and Koa 84 My Style.

Freeride and freestyle models haven't changed extensively. Interesting wood like graphics using natural colors is a certain refreshment in the world of gaudy freeski models flooding the market. Fischer's freeride models are called Watea 78, Watea 84, Watea 94, Watea 101 and Watea 114. The freestyle range for the following season is represented by Addict team, Addict Pro Team, Villain Pro and Addict models.

There is a growing trend of lessening the number of ski ranges and models within them. However, this may be for the better. A certain kind of a record has been reached two years ago when Fischer designed almost 70 ski models forming more than 10 ranges. It was rather hard to remember them all, for even well informed ski gear junkies. The AMC, RX, Fuse and Vision ranges ceased to exist, while only Viron was launched. However, all the models mentioned above are extensive enough and make up interesting Fischer's offer for the next season.
