Rossignol Skis 09/10
No big changes and well-known models. Let's check the Rossignol's offer for season 2009/10.

Well known offer of the French ski manufacturer remains intact this season. Rossignol has not changed much, plus the design remains similar.

Race series has been reduced this season, at least according to the catalogue. Radical RS and Radical RX represent the racing models, while the top of the commercial offer is a Radical Worldcup series with two SL and two GS models. Labels remained the same, as well as the recognizable orange graphics and so for another season there are SL models R9S (picture below) and R8S and GS models R9X and R8X. Oversize technology, introduced in the race series last year, is still present so the GS model has an 80 mm wide waist! Also, a model on which it is possible to mount Mutix extensions is still available. This year, catalogue declares only one Radical R11 Mutix model. Last year there were three Mutix models but the only difference was in the combination of Mutix extensions, the "core" ski remained the same. This reduction is responsible for fewer race models this season.

Cross series with X-Fight models is no longer available on the market and so all other Rossi's models grouped in allmountain series which is intended not only for groomed slopes but also for crud or fresh snow. Zenith, recreational line of skis designed for skiing in all conditions, also has fewer Mutix models this season. Only one remained - Zenith Z10.0 Mutix (picture below), but the story is the same: the number of the last year's models was only the result of combining Mutix extensions on one "core" ski. Unlike racing models in which Mutix extensions are in the charge of changing the radius, here extensions change the stiffness of the ski. More on Mutix technology can be read in the article about the Rossignol technology.

"Ordinary" Zeniths come with a model more. Zenith Z9.5 is designed for expert skiers, while below him are Z6.5, Z3.0 and Z1.0. All models have radius of about 15 or 16m and are quite wide, both in the waist and the tip of a ski. They are a good choice for groomed slopes in any condition, but also for the occasional off-piste trip.

-.--.-

Last season introduced line for less demanding skiers is still present. Easily maneuverable skis with easy turn initiation represent a good choice for those who want to improve their technique. PMC is the name of the series; PMC Limited is intended for advanced skiers, PMC 3000 (picture below) for the intermediates and PMC 2000 for beginners.

-.--.-

Bandit series still has dual camber, but unlike last year's models where the camber could be adjusted (Dual Camber technology) this season models come with fixed camber, which can be traditional single camber or reverse camber. PRO RC 112 model with reverse camber is made for extreme and pure freeriders. Numbers in the name of each model indicate the waist width while the RC and SC abbreviations indicate camber type. Models with single camber include SC96, SC86 and SC80 (picture below).

-.--.-

SAS or Seven Artistic Sins series hides freestyle models. Backcountry models are S7, S6, S5, S3 and park&pipe models are S4, S2 and S1.

Women series boasts with a new, very interesting and colorful design. Attraxion line hides an environmentally friendly model - Attraxion Echo (picture below). It was made from natural materials exclusively; materials that damage the environment are reduced to the necessary minimum. Recycled materials were used along with raw materials produced in France and Spain to encourage the regional development.

-.--.-

The rest of the series include Attraxion XI, this season without Mutix technology, then Attraxion VI, III and I. Attraxion style group with great emphasis on design is represented with models I, III and VI (picture below). This year all three style models have different graphics on the left and right ski, which is most obvious at the model I that has one ski black, other white.

-.--.-

Harmony series, known for unusual waist, consists of two models: Harmony I and II, which also come in the "style" version (Harmony II style, picture below) and it is interesting that after a year Passion model has returned.

-.--.-

Women's Bandit series changed its design so here also each ski comes in its own graphics and in three different widths: B86 Woman, B80 Woman (picture below) and B74 Woman.

-.--.-

The girls have also their park&pipe line with Poppy 80 and Trixie 80 models.
