Italian glacier opens for summer

On June 14th, Val Senales, one of the few summer ski resorts in Italy, will open for summer. Glacier near Merano welcomes skiers with 8 km of prepared ski runs and a snow park.

Cable car and three lifts will be operating from 7:30 to 13:00 for skiers, while excursionists will be able to ride up to the glacier until 16:30. Last snowfall was on April 29th (15 cm), and the current temperature is about 6°C.

Three-star hotel Grawand, the highest in the Alps, is also expecting the visitors. It is situated at 3200 meters above sea level, on the glacier itself. Further, all the accompanying services, such as ski school and ski service, are working, so as to ensure a pleasant holiday on the snow.
